Renewable Energy

Washington Expert to speak to renewable energy group.
 

WELLESLEY TOWNSHIP (Mar 14, 2006)

An expert on renewable energy and climate change will be the keynote speaker in May at the annual meeting of Citizens for Renewable Energy.

Janet Swain, senior researcher at the Worldwatch Institute in Washington, directs the institute's energy and climate change program.

Citizens for Renewable Energy is an Ontario-based organization with more than 500 members interested in alternative sources of energy.

Swain studies and writes about energy and environmental policy.

The annual meeting and Swain's speech will be held at the YMCA Outdoors Centre at Paradise Lake on Hessen Strasse Road near St. Clements.

She will discuss developing a sustainable future through energy efficiency and renewable energy.

The all-day meeting will be held May 28. Attendance is limited to 130 people.
